Depending on the way you answer this question, it can credit you points for being a go-getter. For example, if you heard about the position from a job-hunting website, from a work colleague, or if you’ve always wanted to work in the company, that’s a great way to show them that you’re interested.

Keep in mind, some answers might come across as if you’re indifferent to the job position and are open to whatever comes, but companies are looking for people who are engaged in their career and want to grow as a professional. Those answers could be simple as “I don’t know” or “I don’t remember”.
